Some roles can work virtual full-time if they are not near a Tech Hub, but that is dependent upon the needs of the position and amount of collaboration required.


Job Summary

As an engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to directly propose, design and engineer completely new solutions from the ground up. Successful projects you work on can potentially be open sourced and patented with the help of Comcast’s patent team. Our team builds and delivers critical enterprise security applications that directly impact Comcast’s ability to secure both us and our customers data and resources. Our current suite of applications address, enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning, secure host access management, company-wide secure secret sharing, and much more.

Must Have

  • Generally, requires 2+ years related experience

  • An idea candidate will have strong experience and expertise in one or more of the following languages/frameworks:

  • Frameworks – Ruby, JavaScript, Golang

  • Languages – Ruby on Rails, React.js

  • Understanding of common application design patterns

  • Basic Familiarity with: Cloud Services, Basic Networking, Linux, CICD

  • Ability to breakdown complex requirements into smaller development tasks.

  • Experience with Agile and/or Kanban.

  • Candidates should also be familiar with secure development best practices

Job Description

  • Contribute to the building of front-end and back-end applications.

  • Contributes to the creation of prototypes in a lean / agile manner to influence product direction.

  • Ensure software vulnerabilities are patched often.

  • Proactively collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.

  • Willing and able to conduct presentations of application development plans, progress, and full functionality to team and external stakeholders.

  • Writes automated tests to reduce regressions.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
